Oh, ok. I wanted to make sure that they were in that .cpio file. I was also wondering how to extract the .rpt files since they’re a format that I’ve never seen before. HxD also didn’t help. |

@resekf: Yeah, Super Mario 64's textures are packed in the texture_pack.cpio file. I'm already in the process of getting the remainder of the images from SM64 (the UI elements and ending screen) ready for The Spriters Resource, but everything else is fair game. |

@ParappaDaRappa: Offzip to decompress, and a QuickBMS script to put RGBA DDS headers on 'em. Didn't take long to extract 'em that way, most of the time went into the organization. But that being said, there really aren't that many updated textures in the first place. While I could've put them into a ZIP, then that means people would have to download/extract 'em just to have a look at what's updated, whereas having a sheet makes it easy to tell from a glance, and if people wanted to use 'em for their models it wouldn't take long to crop them. |

@RTB how hard was it to rip these textures? it took me a while to figure out how to decompress and import them into gimp also i think these should be in a zip file incase someone wants to use them in a project so they dont have to crop them just a suggestion |

Is there a way we could get the texture that's overlaid over the Fusion's skin? I imagine it'd be in a GIF form or sth, since stuff like the bubbles inside move around. |

@gnatthew My guess is that there was a hidden Minesweeper game in one of the updates, and that's what the creeper, "Mine-Screeper" and other sprites in the bottom-right were for. |

@ParappaDaRappa: But it's literally the exact same game as the N64 version, just emulated. It's no different than, say, a Virtual Console release (since those also have the ability to patch games on the fly). |

Character textures really need to be re-done, mainly because most of the ones we have now are missing alternate skin textures. The ripper also left a rather insensitive and inappropriate "joke" in the Mario texture sheet (I've just submitted a revision that removes it). |

Textures just chill in a folder as .bmp files. Models are stored as direct x .x files. .rbx are sound files. |
