@TheGuyYouWantToBe It's a visual pun on a japanese word game called "Shiritori" (which is also the Twerkey's japanese name). The name translates as "taking the rear", but it can also be read as "Butt Bird" |

@Yodakiller3000 What I did what I extracted the rom, then browsed for the textures and converted them. I haven't done it in a while as I don't have that much interest for ripping 3DS games, but have been meaning to do so. |

Oddly, these characters only appeared in Paper Mario, Mario Party 5, and maybe Mario Party 3, or maybe the Millennial Star was the only star character in the game, I barely played the game, but have been meaning to for the unique duel mode. |

The black and white ones are actually alpha maps. They're used to make the star and circle shaped edging around the dirt paths. It needs to be combined with another texture that resembles the town map to get the full effect. Animal Crossing City Folk also used this method for grass and cobblestones. |

So based on the fact that these textures exist does it mean that the people of patch land are 3d models? I always thought they were prerendered but these textures suggest otherwise. |
